Celebrate your warrior body

Simplicity is often the best

We are bombarded by images of stunning pert bodies with no wrinkles, stretch marks or moon surface cellulite dimples in sight. We stare at ourselves in the mirror wishing we looked like that, that we could recapture that glow of youth and those smooth thighs.

But.

Hands up those women reading this that DO NOT have a wrinkle, a dimple, or a mark. We all have them, and those ladies in those images that we wish to be like have been airbrushed into plasticity, or lived on a diet of lemons (I joke, and I know there are some naturally blessed ladies in this world).

YOU are a real woman no matter what you feel like in your skin, you are beautiful. We are perfect in our imperfections.

Your body has born you children, won personal wars, fought disease, mourned loss, got up at awful hours of the day and night to be a mother, a friend, a wife, and it has let you party until the sun rose.

Yet still that body carries you forward.

So, when you step in front of the camera, don’t hide your warrior body behind acres of tulle, lace, corsets, and ribbons, please let your beauty shine instead.

My boudoir clients often stress over what to wear for their boudoir shoots. I know I have already gone over this in another blog post here, but I have to say this: simplicity is often the best option. You dont need to be cinched in by a corset, or strangled by a dozen straps that you need an army to do up.

A simple black, white, ivory or nude bra and panty set is perfect for boudoir, all eyes will be on YOU, not the thongs and straps on your lingerie, not the colorful embroidery of your piece, but on you - and isn’t that the point of boudoir?

To celebrate YOU?

And your warrior body?
