What to wear for your boudoir session!

Well, now you have done the hardest part and booked your boudoir shoot with me. BUT.. what are you going to wear?

HEELS, HEELS, HEELS. If you do not have killer high heels, please borrow or buy a pair in black or nude, preferably a peep-toe, closed, or court shoe, but high sandals will also work. They will not be used for every pose but will add length to your legs. I also bring a few pairs, and if they don’t fit, like Cinderella, we will make them fit!

You have my permission to go and treat yourself to some fabulous new pieces of lingerie if you don’t already have them! Nice panties/thongs with matching bras, in any colour, teddies, lacy wraps, whatever you feel comfortable in. I have a selection for clients to use, and if you do not have time to go and buy anything, please don’t worry, my pieces come with me to your shoot in my magic case.

Most people think that boudoir means lingerie or nudity, the truth is that it can be whatever you want it to be.

To please your partner: Team’s colours - a football jersey, for example, a favourite white shirt or work shirt a guitar/musical instrument, this is what I call the fun shot and is the last page of the book.

A bit of class: An evening dress or full tulle skirt

Something sexy: Anything fishnet, stockings, hold-ups or suspenders.

Men’s style boxer shorts.

Thigh-high or long socks in black or white.

Something different: A bathrobe. Tools of your (or their) trade. Glass of wine. A cigarette. Flowers, flower petals.

Large statement jewellery.

Quality photos take a little planning and choice of clothing is important. Make sure your pieces are in good condition, and, if you can, please remove the labels and tags from inside. They show in sheer materials.

As always, I am here for any questions you might have. drop me a message here or drop me an email directly on shirley.lawson@gmail.com

Until our shoot together...
